Ranger William from Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail explains why Nanyehi, or Nancy Ward, is his answer to the question "Who was the most significant woman in the southern backcountry?"
This video originally aired on Facebook in 2020 as part of a series between four National Park sites: Kings Mountain NMP, Cowpens NB, Ninety Six NHS, and Overmountain Victory NHT. Each site selected a ranger to answer the same question, and encouraged virtual visitors to leave "likes and comments" to vote for who they agreed with most.
