Luvuyo Mahlaka reacts to report about funds for late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's memorial service

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's report named senior Eastern Cape politicians beneficiaries of funds for the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's memorial service. Premier Oscar Mabuyane and Public Works MEC Babalo Madikizela reportedly used some of the funds. Mkhwebane found that Madikizela received R350, 000 which was transferred to the bank account of a company owned by his wife. In her report, Mkhwebane also found Mbizana municipal manager Luvuyo Mahlaka's role in the matter constituted improper conduct.
