Munmun Dhamecha's Lawyer Says She Never Consumed Drugs | Mumbai Drug Bust Case

Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, arguing for bail for Munmun Dhamercha, tells the court that she is a model who was invited to the Cordelia Cruises' Empress ship on October 2.
She was arrested within 2-3 minutes of entering her room and there were two people inside it, says Deshmukh.
He adds, "During the search, they [NCB] found nothing on Munmun and another person - Soumya Singh. Two packets of rolling paper and a roach pad were found in the bag of Soumya but she was not made accused and was let off."
"The case against me [Munmun] is copy-pasted just like the others," argues Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh.
Justice Sambre asked Deshmukh if Soumya Singh had any connection with his client. The lawyer replies in the negative.
Deshmukh goes on to argue, "The NDPS court order is 90 per cent silent on me (Munmun). Every allegation is against the other accused. I (Munmum) am just being made a scapegoat."
"Very calmly, what NCB has done is that they have joined [seized contraband]. This is a new trend being followed lately. Small, intermediary and commercial quantities are being combined. That is why the magistrate court could not intervene in the case," Deshmukh adds.
