Everyone seems DEPRESSED lately?
I know Depression isn't uncommon nowadays but it feels like a lot more people have been down, depressed, and feeling like they've hit a wall in life. Feels like this negative wave of energy and I feel like there's a lot of things you can attribute this to; Social media, technology, societal pressures, uncertainty in the future, loneliness, status, careers, politics, etc. It's hard to say or pinpoint the exact things that driving depression and anxiety the most but there's definitely a problem with the direction society is moving in. The world is in such a weird place most people don't want to get left behind, some people don't know what to do, a lot of people don't want to be here. Something that helps a lot is understanding what's within your control and accepting things out of your control; there's a lot of power in surrender and acceptance. Think of something that makes you happy or someone; no matter how small the amount, just a little is enough. Think of that, hold onto it, and don't let that go out. Depression is not a permanent state. You are NOT your thoughts. No matter how bad or how good things get; life will regress back to the mean.
