In India, Deepfakes became prominent during the Delhi assembly elections. Two videos of the BJP politician Manoj Tiwari criticising AAP went viral on WhatsApp. While one video had Tiwari speak in English, the other was him speaking in the Hindi dialect of Haryanvi. How was such a video made? What are DeepFakes? What impact would they create in our society? We found out in this video.
